TADA Mokeys' day out- Photo essay
We spotted lots of Monkeys on top of Tada hills (100 kms off Chennai, in AP) during our Trekk to this place on 30th August. (more about trekk and other photos later). Thogh they made an attempt to snatch our food, these monkeys weren't offensive and didn't attack unlike the monkeys in some other places. Publishing some photos of them, with a caption...

We two, Ours two

No-no-no- Don't stare at my son- Nazar lag jayega...

Shhh! I am putting him to sleep. Silence

Nilgiris Curd is yummy...last time we taste Nestle...bring Amul next time pls...

Hello! You there! know what? I call the shots here-You think you can scare us with that superzoom camera of yours? We've seen so many people like you...

No brother-its just an empty cup one of those stupid humans threw at me...

Wow! What a beautiful lady (monkey)...

Look- Papa is coming home...

Oops! Something fell down...

Glucon-D: We need some real energy to strike at lightening speed and snatch some items from these tourists-An extra packet when they are from CTC.

2 baby comkeys in a playful mood-3rd one looks on

Err...Its itching here..

Its war time...

Don't behave like humans-back off

This is what is called a mouth full of meal...

Mind if I take a handful to my sister?

Grab as much as you can... These humans-we never know when they will come to beat us...
If you liked these, you might also like: Cute Squirrels of Agra * impalas * our pet cat's photo session * pigeon, Myna and other birds

Moti-A well trained monkey
We find few people trying to make money through their monkies on the Delhi-Agra route-particularly near toll gates and other places where vehicles are likely to stop/slow down.
These monkeys are well trained, quite clean and friendly to spend a few moments with. Kids would enjoy it. Their owners of course ask for money and may demand even a hundred or two but would settle for much lower amounts like Rs 10 or 20.

Chameleons
A google image search for chameleons returns dozens of colourful photos of the chameleons, which are known to change their body colour depending on the surrounding.
Unfortunately so far I have not been able to spot any Chameleon in any attractive colour other than the default one you see below. (May be I failed to notice when they were in some other colour?) However in real life I’ve seen many people who change their colours…

MatriMandir Auroville-pondicherry
Matrimandir is a spiritual township some 10 kms off Pondicherry. The sprirical dome you see in the picture is the central attraction here which is basically a meditation centre. Entry is free but open during specific timings only.
We didn't find anything so great about the place as a tourist centre, but worth a quick visit if you're visiting Pondy and have an hour or so to spare.

Master-keys for any vehicle...
Found a person walking with a bunch of keys on Mall Road, Mussoorie. He seemed to have a key for every vehicle-any kind of vehicle. With the confidence he was walking, looked like he is a parking attendant or something like that. But we never know…
